Poor Stars & Stones is made up of vocalist Briton Sky, cellist Mel Aleksanyan , and multi-instrumentalist Gregory Kasunich. The band was short lived and their debut EP was also their last. The record is about as indie as you can get, recorded entirely in a converted bedroom in North Hollywood, CA, and it sounds like it. Despite the lo-fi production, drum-loops, and garage band plug-ins, the individual songs reach for something beyond their grasp. This little record remains as a small step into dynamic that never full develops as a band, but suggests some music ideas that hopefully are better than bad.
